ABOUT ME

I am Fabiana Chiarelli, an Italian visual artist, photographer, illustrator, and graphic & multimedia designer. For over fifteen years, I have worked in visual communication, developing projects across photography, design, illustration, visual identity, pattern design, motion graphics, and video.

Every project begins with creative research and is developed to be original, recognisable, and consistent with its purpose. A hand-drawn sketch is often the starting point: sketches, marks, and illustrations are then developed through traditional, analog, and digital techniques.

In photography, I work with analog, digital, and infrared techniques, overseeing every stage of the process, from concept and shooting to post-production and fine-art printing. My work includes fine-art, editorial, and commercial photography, as well as portraiture, conceptual photography, reportage, and still life.

As a designer, I specialise in visual identity, editorial design, illustration, pattern design, and decorative motifs for publishers, brands, and cultural institutions. I have also been teaching graphic design and visual communication for over fourteen years and have developed extensive technical expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud.
