Hi! I'm Fabiana Chiarelli, a freelance visual artist specializing in graphic design, illustration, surface pattern design, and fine art photography. For over 15 years, I’ve explored visual language as a form of expression and communication, combining aesthetic research, technical skills, and storytelling.
My work ranges from visual arts to analog and digital photography for giclée printing, and mixed media illustrationfor editorial, artistic, and decorative projects. Raised in a creatively rich environment, I developed a strong visual sensibility rooted in art history, design, and photography—refined over time through ongoing study and practice.
My photographic research moves between two main directions: on one hand, conceptual and social themes with a documentary approach; on the other, the poetic dimension of nature and fleeting everyday moments. I work with digital, analog, and infrared techniques, always seeking to create authentic images through in-camera or film-based processes, avoiding photomontage.
My illustrations are often inspired by literature, music, and film, capturing introspective and dreamlike atmospheres. Over the years, I’ve expanded into surface pattern design, creating motifs for textiles, wallpaper, and products—always with a distinct, personal style. Each project is a reflective journey, guided by a desire to escape the ordinary through layered textures and mixed media techniques.
I bring together artistic sensitivity, technical precision, and narrative vision to create visuals that tell meaningful stories and evoke emotion.
